Mohamed-Shukri Hassan is a civically engaged entrepreneur with significant experience in community organizing, immigrant integration and grassroots advocacy. He is the former Welcoming Tennessee Coordinator. He currently serves on The Mayors’ New American Advisory Council and sits on the board of directors of The Nashville International Center for Empowerment.
He is working on his master’s degree at Nelson & Sue Andrews Institute for civic leader at Lipscomb University.
He is originally a refugee from Somalia and speaks four different languages - English, Somali, Swahili and Oromo.
