I joined The Difference in March 2014 after over 11 years in PwC’s Audit & Assurance practice for entertainment & media clients. In that time I worked overseas on secondments in Silicon Valley and Papua New Guinea as well as several internal projects, leadership roles and facilitation of Learning & Development programs. After a couple of experiences with The Difference I developed an affinity with the way of working, especially the creativity involved in visualizing information and bringing people together to look at their problems differently. I was given the first few months at The Difference to work on the crews of our large jobs in the main space before easing into the Solution Designer role. I’ve begun to take on some small elements of facilitation which is the area I’m working at most on improving at the moment at one of our client hubs. In my time as a member of crew a lot of the work was environment related and reimagining inputs visually including some light scribing. I was quickly assigned into a lot of input related roles because my experience in my past work allows me to speak and understand the client’s language very comfortably. I’m keen to develop my visual engagement skills further (including improving photoshop, scribing and graphic design skills) however I’m also keen to better understand all the domains our crews contribute to an event.
