Future Ready Nashville

A DesignShop Event | December 17-19, 2014

America has reached a point where almost all problems can be solved, especially at the local level. Nashville has everything it needs to be Future Ready. This program invites selected activists to experience the DesignShop process, while launching our intentional process of making Nashville Future Ready.


The brain builds itself by laying down large synaptic highways, which become the scaffold of communication corridors from which secondary and tertiary corridors emerge, until a vast “hairnet of axons” covers the brain. Once this hairnet is in place then we have a brain that is able to self-organize an infinite number of connections, thoughts, ideas, innovations and learnings while at the same time behave and direct behavior in dependable, learned ways.

Participants explored what resources need to be “in their trunk” as they move forward with their plans.  

Participants met in pairs and interviewed each other drawing out skills and talents  important to the ongoing design of Future Ready Nashville.  

These gifts were placed in the trunk on the wall  so that the entire group could see the wealth of talent and skills in the room.
